K&L industries offers high-performance Aluminum Bronze (often ASTM B148 C95800/Nickel Aluminum Bronze) valves designed for harsh marine environments, providing exceptional seawater corrosion resistance and biofouling protection. These valves, commonly used in shipbuilding and offshore applications, feature Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing to ensure alloy compliance, high strength, and durability against saltwater erosion. 

Key Features and Applications

• Material Strength: High corrosion resistance, particularly in seawater, with low oxidation rates.
• Marine Benefits: Biostatic effects prevent colonization by marine organisms (barnacles, algae).
• Common Specs: Commonly manufactured in C95800, C95500, and C95400 nickel-aluminum bronze alloys.
• Applications: Ideal for seawater pipelines, ballast systems, bilge lines, fire protection, and offshore oil & gas.
• Testing: PMI testing verifies the precise alloy composition, crucial for ensuring the required nickel-aluminum bronze properties.
• Valve Types: Available in ball, butterfly, gate, and check valve designs suitable for high-pressure and temperature marine, offshore, and desalination applications. 

FFC (First Flow Control) electric actuators are designed for automated valve control across diverse industries, including petrochemical, water management, and power generation. They are characterized by their use of high-durability materials and intelligent monitoring systems. 

Key Technical Innovations

• Microcrystalline Alloy: FFC utilizes a specialized microcrystalline alloy for critical friction components like worm gears and slide bearings. This material offers micron-level grain refinement, resulting in superior wear resistance, mechanical stability, and reduced production costs.
• Intelligent Control: Actuators feature built-in microprocessors for real-time data collection on torque and valve position. Many models include an LCD display and support "non-intrusive" debugging (without opening the enclosure).
• Environmental Protection: Standard units are rated IP67, with an optional IP68 rating for submersion (up to 7 meters for 72 hours). They operate in temperatures from -20°C to 70°C, with low-temp options reaching -40°C.

Safety & Operation

• Explosive Environments: The EFX series (e.g., EFX-D, EFX-Q) is designed with an Exd IIC T6 flame-proof rating and ATEX certification for use in dangerous locations.
• Manual Override: All models typically include a handwheel and a manual/electric switching lever for emergency operation or setup.
• Motor Protection: Includes Class F insulation, over-torque protection, and thermal sensors to prevent motor burnout. 

 K&L Industries would like to report on our joint visit to this year's Yantai International Nuclear Power Industry and Equipment Expo. Together with our local distributor, who specializes in thermal power plants (nuclear power plants), we held valuable discussions with our customers. I am pleased to announce that K&L Industries Shanghai has already acquired two major customers in this highly sensitive market in its first year. Our focus was on discussing new projects on-site and gathering customer feedback on the butterfly valves and related accessories we supplied. I am pleased to share that our second participation in the 2025 Guangxi International Sugar Industry event was a great success for K&L Industries Shanghai.
